The biscuits should dry out properly and be safe stored at room temperature for a week or two, but if you are planning to store them longer than that, you might want to put them in the fridge, to be safe. These homemade peanut butter dog biscuits are made with natural peanut butter, oat flour, and applesauce. I package them in plastic bags and tie on the tag. These biscuits also make thoughtful gifts for dog lovers, especially when decorated with a cute tag. Then they are ready to share with your dog! Bake at 375 for 20 minutes, or until thoroughly dried. Place cut shapes onto a cookie sheet, about 1/2" apart. Roll out to 1/4" thick and use a dog bone shaped cookie cutter to cut into cute shapes (or just use a knife to cut into small squares). Use your hands to knead into a firm dough. Then add the wet mixture to the dry and mix well. Combine the flour and baking powder in one bowl, and the peanut butter and milk in another. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the peanut butter, water, and oil. This will be better for your dog than the regular stuff, which is loaded with added sugar. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. There are lots of varieties out there, so read the label carefully and be sure that you choose one that’s made from nothing but peanuts and salt. * The use of natural peanut butter here is important. Place 1/2" apart on cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 20 minutes or until thoroughly dried. Roll out to 1/4" thick and cut into cookie shapes. Mix well, then knead into a firm dough with your hands. ![]() Mix the peanut butter and milk in another bowl until smooth, then add to the dry ingredients.
